Whisper-Quiet, Smooth Operation Year After Year
Thanks to Chamberlain's exclusive Motor Vibration Isolation System (MVIS)--which eliminates powerhead vibration for reduced noise--the WD822KD provides the ultimate in quiet performance. No more grating, squeaking, grinding, or jarring mechanical noises every time your garage door is opened or closed.

Compatible with HomeLink, an in-vehicle remote-control system, and winner of the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval, the WD822KD is built to last. Its 1/2-horsepower motor offers steady operation and easy lifting year after year, while the enclosed gear case provides lubrication and protection for long life and smooth movement. Additionally, rugged steel construction guards against damaging wear and tear and the effects of temperature changes.

Fast, Easy Installation in Just 60 Seconds
Quick and easy to install, this system arrives with three railing sections that assemble into one long piece. Clear, easy-to-read instructions guide you through the process step by step--in just one minute you'll have a completely assembled unit.

For added convenience, the WD822KD has a light that delivers 200 watts and has an adjustable time delay so you can enjoy illumination when you need it. It also comes with two three-button remote controls and a keyless entry pad for those times when your remote is not easily accessible.

Advanced Safety and Security Features Protect Against Accidents and Theft
The WD822KD is equipped with safety features that protect users from accidental closings, as well as from break-ins and theft. The included protector system features safety sensors with Rapid-Snap brackets that project an invisible light beam across the door opening and automatically reverse the door if anything interrupts the beam while the door is descending.

For added peace of mind, sensing technology will stop the door from closing if contact is made with a person or object and opener lights will turn on automatically if the infrared beam is broken.

To guard against unauthorized entry or use of your code, Security+ anti-burglary technology sends a new code every time you use your remote control. An added bonus, PosiLock theft protection ensures that once the door is closed, it stays locked.

The WD822KD motor is backed by a lifetime warranty; the belt is backed by a 10-year warranty.

GDO

This has to be the quietest GDO that has ever been built, what a difference and all of the items that come with it for a very secure garage door and safe.

Very Quiet

It took me about 5 hours to install. I was helped by the fact I could use the ceiling mounts from my old opener. About the only fault I can find with the opener is that every once in a while I have to adjust those "electronic safety eyes" that are mounted near the floor. I have had the unit about a month now and had to re-adjust these 4 times. Other than that I really like the opener.

Very quiet

I replaced my 10 yrs old Genie screw drive garage door opener with this one. The Chamberlain drive belt opener is really quiet. Glad that I don't wake up my neighbors when I open the garage door at night again.

Best opener on the market

My 12 year old Liftmaster went on the fritz and I needed a quiet replacement. After looking at the reviews, this one came up and Amazon had the best price. There overnight. Installed in less than 3 hours. The best I have ever seen and NOT heard. Love all the security features, love everything about it.

Works well and like the wall control

Had a 13 year old unit that was installed wrong (door bumped the track), and sometimes came home to find the door open though it was closed when I left...

New unit arrived on-time, in original packaging (eg as you would find it from a hardware store, not double boxed), which was plenty safe - the thing is well packed - foam + strategic inner cardboard.

Single person install, including taking down the old unit, doing alignment, etc was probably a bit over 2 hours. Instructions were pretty good. One step that got me was the spring tension clip for the belt - I was originally putting the screwdriver on the wide part with no success - when I finally realized the screwdriver was supposed to be pressure against the thin metal disc (like a washer with cut outs on the edge) it clicked right away. I ended up using the mounting arms from my old unit - they were better attachment points than what was included. (May take pics to post next weekend)

Used the remote to train the Home-Link control in my car, then a press of the Learn button on the opener, followed by two presses of my car's Home-Link button and it was working great.

I'm happy with noise level and speed of operation (much faster vs the old unit). I also like the wall control that lets you operate the dual lights independent of opening the door.
