The Chamberlain remote is designed to be programmed for many older and newer style doors. Setup was not hard, I just had to figure out the style of door we have (easy for us since I had the old remote that said LINEAR on it, and knew it was an 8-pin code.)
The remote is about the size of a small Altoids tin and quite light. I can fit it side by side with a smartphone in my shirt pocket.
There are three situations where the remote fails to perform well.
1) In some luxury vehicles (Mercedes Benzes, some BMWs, some Cadillacs) the coating on the windshield prevents the signal from going out, which is usually not a case with the older 9-volt unit I replaced. Merely opening a window lets the signal leave the stubborn cars with the old unit, but I almost always have to hold my hand outside the car and wave my hand to open the door with this unit.
2) One of our garage doors has the motor / receiver positioned up high in such a way that a clear signal can only be sent if you nearly bump the door with the car, while holding the remote out of the window. Our 9-volt units can send a signal from 20 feet away, even from an angle outside of the building. 5 feet and dead center is about the where I have to be from the door to open it with the Chamberlain.
3) General range is poor. I could often open one of our doors from 40 feet away, but need to get to within 20 with the Chamberlain. A new battery did not help with any of my problems.
If this remote had more power, I would have given it 4-5 stars for it's size and customization. As it is, I may end up replacing it for an older 0-volt style unit that will give me more range.

Product was everything the seller described it to be. I'm very pleased with the remote opener. It picked up the signal for the garage on the first try and has decent range when you point it at the garage.
I would recomend this to anyone else looking for a garage door opener.

This is a great value. Very easy to setup and has a nice size and look. It's almost too small.
The one caveat - it's not always easy to tell which Listmaster Garage Unit you have, and they make different openers depending on the year it was made. Be aware of that.

I received this device as a surprise as it was substituted for my original order which was no longer available. I was able to program this to a LiftMaster rolling code and a Craftsman unit that has resisted all attempts to match it up to a generic keypad in about 15 minutes. Both units synced on the first try. Most of the 15 minutes was spent getting a ladder and moving 1 car out of the way to access the LiftMaster. The range is good and it's small enough to fit in a small nook in the dash on my 2010 F150 FX4. Good product. Good price.

The device comes with the leaflet, where the programming is described fairly clearly, although I might have some suggestions for improvements.
After you read a bit and think another minute, you will be able to program the buttons. Since then, the device works just fine, the design and quality of material is very good. I can't say for the battery life; it works fine after 2 months.
